Onward Log Homes is committed to producing a log home that your children will be proud to show their children. Our top quality Canadian logs are harvested from forests of British Columbia. We use only standing dry logs that mother nature has selected.
Starting in 1949 when Steve Mikulasik Sr. started horse logging in the forests of Central British Columbia, Canada he always instilled in his three sons that hard work, honesty, integrity and respect for your environment will always pay off. Today Steve Sr.'s sons Steve, Joe and James bring those qualities to every log in every log home or cabin they produce. In Joe's log yard and mill in Cache Creek B.C. he personally selects every log and then mills it to each client's specifications. Steve and James work with clients to make sure that the plans and construction meet their expectations. Numerous clients have sent us feedback to reflect that the standards Steve Mikulasik Sr. taught are being met in every Onward Log Home project. Our mom and dad always told us to give 110% to whatever we did and we continue to do that by providing high quality log homes.
We produce a milled, round, Swedish coped log home, with saddle notch corners. We use standing dry Engelman Spruce, Lodgepole Pine and Douglas Fir. Our machines can produce from 7" to 16" diameter house logs with lengths reaching up to 60 feet long. By using these long logs this eliminates the need for butt joints (two short logs joined together on a wall).
